Permanent Health Insurance
The cover is provided in case of incapacity following an accident or sickness resulting in a member being unable to continue with his own or suited occupation. Cover is compulsory for all employees.
Unlike the occupational disability benefit, this benefit provides for a monthly income. The waiting period is normally three months before it becomes payable. The longer the waiting, period the more competitive the premium.
This benefit ceases on the earlier of attainment of the normal retirement age, death or re- employment of the employee. Employers have the option to have an escalating benefit.
